Old Republic Professional Liability (ORPRO) has provided management and professional liability insurance for America's leading public, private, and non-profit companies since 1983.
ORPRO provides specialized Management Liability solutions for America’s leading public, private, and non-profit companies. Our team averages more than 20 years of experience underwriting complex exposures and brings an unparalleled depth of understanding to every relationship. While we serve all commercial industry sectors, we are a leader in technology, biotechnology, and life sciences firms, currently insuring 50% of the NASDAQ 100 Index and 60% of the NASDAQ Biotechnology Index. By underwriting each client on its individual merits, we can provide innovative, flexible and sustainable insurance solutions.
ORPRO’s highly experienced and empowered underwriters have the ability to quote primary and excess Directors and Officers liability (D&O), Employment Practices Liability (EPL), and Fiduciary liability for public and private companies.
ORPRO offers primary and excess Lawyers Professional Liability (LPL) and Employment Practices Liability to small and mid-size law firms. For primary coverage, we most often work with firms that have 7 to 60 full-time attorneys and also consider smaller practices under special circumstances; for excess coverage we can consider firms with more than 60 attorneys.
Our in-house attorneys manage claims, and are committed to fostering strong working relationships with policyholders, outside counsel, and brokers to successfully resolve complex litigation.
We provide continuity of service over the years: one claims professional is generally assigned to each policyholder, and maintains a relationship with that policyholder. Our claims professionals respond to every claim reported to the company, and form an effective team with the policyholder and outside counsel to develop defense strategies, evaluate exposure, and contain costs.
Insurance contracts are underwritten and issued by Old Republic Insurance Company, rated A+ (Superior) by AM Best, A2 Stable by Moody’s, and A+ Stable by Standard and Poor’s.
